Every month, one band or music artist is featured along with a album of theirs. Whether new or classic, they are featured for their notable rock achievements or potential achievements.
Safetysuit has an incredible mix of music--some that make you laugh and dance along, some that make you cry. I saw them in concert not too long ago and I really enjoyed their performance, and just to make sure they were as good on CD, I went out and bought their first album "Life Left To Go," where I was instantly taken by their songs.
While some of the music is mellow, some can be very upbeat. Although, I wouldn't say they are lyrical geniuses, I enjoy the beat, the energy, and the vocals of Doug Brown. While this seems unorthodox, I'm just going to list the songs by Safetysuit that I like. These are my favorite songs from them: Stay, Down, The Moment, Annie, What If, and Gone Away. I found their 12-track album to be completely well-rounded. I'm sure that once you've listened to them, you, too, will have a favorite.
With Safetysuit, I think it's one of those things where you have to try out a little bit of it at first. If it's sweet enough for you, then indulge. I wouldn't push their music on everyone because I think they have a unique sound that some not really enjoy. However, I didn't find this to be the case. I loved them from the moment I heard the first chord. My suggestion to you is to just try listening to a few of their songs (like the ones I listed as my favorites.) If you like them, then you'll be sure to really enjoy the album and want to showcase it everywhere!
While they have one song that is played frequently on the radio, I don't find it to represent them truly, and I think you just need to hear the rest of their album. Carolina Liar is one of those bands that I'm absolutely crazy about. Since I first heard them in concert to when I bought their CD, I knew I'd stumbled across a band that would make an impression on the world--for starters, they made an impression on me. Of course, you are hearing this from one of their biggest fans!
The music is surprisingly more mellow than I'd originally expected, but I still would call it pop/rock/alternative and say that it absolutely rocks, 100%. I'm not easy to please when it comes to music, yet Carolina Liar showed me what I was looking for. The unique thing is, I found traces of all of my favorite types of music in just the right amount. The songs are catchy and can be listen to over and over again. And, the lyrics are easily understood, sang beautifully by Chad Wolf.
With a bunch of hits on the radio, their first album "Coming To Terms" is one you need to own in your music collection. To get their CD, preview their songs, or download them from iTunes, visit their site. See www.CarolinaLiar.com today and before long you'll be saying you're "in love with a liar," too.
